Bill Papanastasiou: Chief Executive Officer
As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Bill oversees all corporate structuring and asset management for Vertex Investments. Bill is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a 26-year U.S. Army combat veteran, and the co-founder of several companies, including Vertex Investments and Splendid Properties Investment Group. Actively investing in real estate since 2016, he has transacted, repositioned, and operated mixed portfolios of single-family, commercial office, and commercial multi-family real estate totaling more than $18.5M. Bill brings decades of organizational and strategic leadership experience, successfully guiding large-scale and complex organizations toward optimal performance and excellence.
Bill's family is closely involved in the rare child disease community and supports outstanding organizations such as Capital Caring Health, a palliative and hospice care provider, TinySuperHeroes, and the Momento Foundation. These organizations provide impactful, supportive services to terminally ill children and their families.
Rhyne Carter: Chief Operations Officer
As co-founder and Chief Operations Officer, Rhyne oversees all organizational administration and coordination of company business, and heads up acquisitions for Vertex Investments. Rhyne has 23 years of experience in real estate as general contractor, broker, and developer. He has spent the last 7 years as the infrastructure acquisition lead for multibillion dollar fortune 500 company. Rhyne brings experience in business administration, ownership, engineering, management, and project management. Rhyne is the co-founder of Vertex Investments.
Rhyne passionate about helping like-minded individuals and families become financially free by investing in apartments. His work ethic shows, with his hard-working attitude and respect for all people. He is passionate about giving back to community. Those organizations closest to his heart are; Habitat for Humanity & Humane Society.
John Funderburk: Chief Investment Officer
As co-founder and Chief Investment Officer, John oversees all marketing and investor relations for Vertex Investments. John completed a Bachelor of Science in Science and Technology at Pittsburg State University. At age 27, he became EVP of Sales & Marketing for a startup technology firm that catered to the Oil & Gas compliance field. After relocating to Florida, John began his real estate business in 2017, where he has since repositioned and transacted assets worth over $11M.
John has adapted to investing in larger portfolios to maximize investor returns. He brings over 20 years of executive management, strategic leadership, and entrepreneurial experience to achieve success with a large portfolio.
